Plot :
This is the first film in what was to became the long-running 'Old Mother Riley' British comedy series.
It tells the story of a wealthy match maker who leaves his vast fortune to his family when he dies.
But to inherit the money, they must follow one condition: they
must take in the first person they see selling matches. Soon the family find
themselves housing a rambunctious, opinionated Irish washerwoman, Old Mother Riley (Arthur Lucan) and her daughter, Kitty
(Kitty McShane). Comic mayhem ensues.
