Although this site is principally intended for UK SELLERS, with most of the links being UK based - yes, I do live in the UK!!- I believe that the advice found within this site can also be of use to sellers in the USA and elsewhere.THE MASTER BEDROOM In my opinion the master bedroom has only two main functions - it is for sleeping and also romance! It is not a reading library nor is it a multi-media TV/DVD entertainment centre. The master bedroom should be a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The colour scheme should be soothing to the eye. Accessories should be co-ordinated and not obtrusive. Ditch the cuddly toys. Not everybody shares your fondness for those cuddly stuffed love tokens given to you by your beloved during your courtship! Ensure the bed is made and properly dressed before any showing. All clothes should be put away in the appropriate place, including dressing gowns. Do not leave these hanging on the back of the bedroom door. Keep personal items and ornaments to a minimum. A vase of fresh flowers adds a nice touch. Ensure all the furniture and light fittings are dust free and any mirrors are polished. Remove any items that make the room look cluttered, especially those stored on the top of wardrobes/cupboards, as this implies that there is not enough storage space. Either store them under the bed, if possible, or put them into temporary storage in the loft.
