Given that  John  Edgar Grassby II and his sister, Rebecca Agnes Grassby, were christened on the same date indicates that they may have been twins.

The 1871 Census shows John Grasby, his wife, Ellen Grasby, and their four children living at 5 Hoyes Court, Davis Street, Hull. (Ref : RG10/4784 pg 73,[page13] West Sculcoates 13).
