| Hallway | De-clutter. Remove junk mail and
newspapers. Store away other items, such ornaments, coats and shoes etc. Ensure inside of door furniture and windows are clean. Clear out hall cupboards to create an illusion of space. Make sure the hallway is brightly lit. Decor should be in neutral colours such as white, cream, or magnolia, to create a light, airy feel. |
| Stairway | Make sure the stair carpet is clean
and in good condition. Remove any items "stored" on the stairs. Make sure the stair bannister is clean and in a good state of repair. |
| Landing | Clean landing windows, inside
and out. Remove any furniture on the landing to increase the sense of space. Decor should match the hallway and the stairs, to create a feeling of continuity. |
